On the 1st of October 2018, the official inauguration ceremony of EIT Climate-KIC Hub Greece took place at Hilton Hotel, Athens. Here you can follow a link from ECO News / Skai TV report. The Director of the Greek EIT Climate – KIC Hub, Prof. Phoebe Koundouri, introduced the Hub, while the Director European Affairs, EIT Climate-KIC, Dr. Mike Cherrett, presented the European EIT Climate-KIC Platform. Directors from European EIT Climate-KIC Hubs shared successful innovation practices from European and Greek start-ups. The event was invitation-only and it was addressed to Clean Tech start-ups, Businesses and Investors, Researchers, Policy-Makers, Politicians, and civil society.
EIT Climate-KIC is EU’s largest public-private partnership focused on climate innovation to mitigate and adapt to climate change and has established hubs in all European Countries (www.climate-kic.org). It aims to address climate change across four priority themes: urban areas, land use, production systems, decision metrics and finance. Education is at the heart of these themes to inspire and empower the next generation of climate leaders. EIT Climate-KIC runs programmes for students, start-ups and innovators across Europe via centres in major cities, convening a community of the best people and organisations.
